Forest Coach Lines has entered into contractual arrangements with the owners of Wolters Bus and Coach Service Operator to acquire the Assets of the Wolters business.
Wolters operate TNSW contracted and Charter services within the Narrabri and Wee Waa surrounding areas with 19 buses operating from 2 Depot premises in these locations.
“I would like to congratulate the Wolters family and their entire team on the success of their business. As a member of a third-generation family business, I know the important role that the Wolters family has contributed to the success in the North West region and its importance to all members of the community.
Forest Coach Lines look forward to working with their team on a successful transition, and continued investment in the long-term success of this great business” David Royle, CEO Forest Coach Lines.
Part of our business improvements for the newly acquired services will include a phased approach to implementing a seat belt equipped school bus fleet for the Narrabri and Wee Waa school routes. It is anticipated that the first of the new buses will be ready for the 2018 school year in addition to retrofitting seat belts to the existing school fleet to ensure the highest quality of service and safety for children using these services.
Forest Coach Lines have successfully ran bus operations since 1930 in the Northern Sydney region, and in 2014 completed the sale of a majority share of the operations to Next Capital, a long time investor in international bus operations.
Forest is managed by CEO and third generation family member David Royle.
