Bus Etiquette

When travelling with Forest Coach Lines, please be respectful of other passengers by being aware of the following:

  • offer your seat to those who need it more than you, such as the elderly, and pregnant, mobility impaired or disabled customers
  • allow passengers on the bus to alight before you board
  • move towards the rear of the bus to allow other passengers to board
  • refrain from placing bags or other personal items on seats when people are standing
  • refrain from putting your feet on the seats. You may be fined for doing so
  • do not distract the driver, or interfere with the safe operation of the bus in any way
  • do not vandalise the bus in any way. With over 10,000 security cameras operating onboard Forest Coach Lines’ buses, there’s a good chance you’ll be seen if you do so. If you notice a graffiti offender or vandal damaging the bus, bus stop signage or shelters, notify the driver immediately or telephone NSW Police on 000. If you have information regarding vandals, you can report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
  • inform the driver immediately if you notice an unattended item or baggage, or any suspicious activity – remember, if you see something, say something
  • cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
  • speak on your mobile phone quietly, so that you don’t disturb others around you
  • use portable music players only with headphones – do not play music through speakers or mobile phones
  • do not use offensive language
  • do not smoke. Smoking on any Forest Coach Lines vehicle is an offence and is subject to penalty
  • do not consume food or drinks on the bus (unless for medical purposes). You may be fined for doing so
